Tasmania Roadtrip - Week 4 - Hastings Caves

The Newdegate Cave at Hastings Reserve began to form more than 40 million years ago. In more recent times, the entrance to the cave was discovered in 1917 by timber workers. It wasn't until 1939, as part of a construction drive during the Great Depression that steps in the cave and the road leading up to it were built.
